Yay! I can't believe I got a good bit of people onto this game! Even people trying to decide with R2!

buy Valkyria Chronicles first, then resistance later

Just buy the one you want to play immediately first.

If you say you want to play both immediately and you're on a budget, yep; looks like it's ramen noodles for a week.

Pretty sure VC will be available discounted sooner than R2 though. I wouldn't worry about it being impossible to find in the future.

Eh, I'm not sure. Some games tend to disappear pretty quick.

Well, the first problem is, I believe, that he is European. This means the game shipped like 40k to the entire region. Odds are, not many more will be shipped. So, ebay, EB, and Gamespot are all not options.

 

EDIT: He is not from the EU. Well, you will still be able to find it, but it's better to be on the safe side. (you might have a Disgaea 1 on your hands)

I would say Resistance 2 because it is easier to get into because of being a shooter game. VC is a niche SRPG game.

However, 6 months from now you'll still find plenty of R2 copies on store shelves. Depending on how many they make, you might not find nearly as many copies of VC. It's an sRPG and those tend to disappear fast.

Pick up VC now and R2 later. That way you'll get both for sure.

 

Hes right. And besides, after you finish VC, you can look forward to massive carnage in R2, online and off. And back on again with co-op!

You mean Disgaea 1, now part of the Greatest Hits lineup and readily available even today?

Yes, but it was made in 2005. It was put out as a Greatest Hits just two months ago and is the second highest selling SRPG (maybe of one of the Taisens but idk) ever. It was IMPOSSIBLE to find in 2006, 2007, etc. Why would you want to wait three years to play such a great game?
