I just bought Spider Man: Web of Shadows (Wii) the title feels solid.
Strong Points:
- Cut Scene Music is amazing and the cut scene choreography is perfect.
- The last Spider Man I played was two I’m not sure if anything came out since then, this game is a major shift from two while carrying the general concept of the wall crawler. They evolved the combat on walls by a great deal to the point where you can almost forget your on the side of a building, the aerial combat is amazing considering I’ve only just started the game, using the webs and mounting enemies is the way you’d imagine Spider Man would apply his talents in air to air combat.
- Spider Man under Symbioses is definitely Spider Man with more power and an intent to hurt, which really wraps up the point of control, you go from the acrobatic non-linear and just plain unbalanced fighting style of Spider Man to the in your face and if I’ll get in your face control of Black Suit Spidey.
- Controls, near perfect even the waggle is used well, and web swing (kick) is actually useable now! The detail in the animation and the webbing is cool also.
Weak Points:
- Web Swing is mapped with web zip left/right waggle and swing to up/down some, the Wiimote may recognize the zip instead of a swing and in this case the web zip will turn into a kick in the air. (This web zip is made for air combat and is used not like normal web zip but instead to tether on enemies.)
2. Voice Acting, I’m only heard Parker and MJ so far and a few others but Parkers voice actor sucks bad... my opinion though… his voice just isn’t Parker or Spidey.
All in all I was skeptical of this game, but aside from the monotony of some of the missions, (Beat up 150 thugs) I don’t have any issues with the purchase. ^_^
The new level up system give you a reason to web swing around New York.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
