^ online play and local play aren't mutually exclusive.

They shouldn't be, but in this case they are. Since you have to pick, I pick local multiplayer.

Wait... There's no online for Wii at all??  That's stupid.  There ought to be.  Doesn't have to be to the level HD systems have but I'd like to play with my friends if they have the game at least.   Not a deal breaker but I did expect at least basic online.

The wii version incorporates the balance board and makes a snowboarding game play in a very similar way to real snowboarding, but of course, when it comes to genre innovation, it's a no contest because in the PS360 version you can ride the ski lift......

That's all I need to know from whomever wrote up this 'article'

Playing against someone next to you is more fun indeed. But playing with IRL friends while you all enjoy the comfort of your homes + playing in full screen is also very cool.

It's 2008, we shouldn't have to choose, we should have both god dammit. We shouldn't even have this discussion at all.

Is this article a joke? They gave all the catergorys to ps360 when based on what they said, wii is far superior. Genre innovations, would automatically go to Wii. Ps360 is doing the same thing as the last snowboarding games. Im sorry.. they have the most innovative thing ever... a ski lift. It sounds like WeSki (I've played it and it has ski lifts. And the mission things where yu have to go to the people.. WeSki also, its really not new. I would so much rather lean like im on a real snowboard, then move my joystick left and right. And online just feels like a amazing AI split screen is better.

Online better than split screen?

Having to walk to and take a lift genre innovating while actually being on a board is meh?

IGN has lost it completely.

Online is not better than splitscreen... unless u don't have friends.

Also, they say other than the board, they do nothing interesting. Other than the board?? Playing with it completely changes the gameplay experience. Whereas i've been using analog controls for over 10yrs now.

Rights so Analog Control is actually better then balance board, right in a Snowbording simulation ?! IGN are silly i know they promote the hardcore HD hardware (because it needs promotion) but that does not make sense.

Well we should have the first reviews coming in the next days. Let's hope for the best.
