Forums - Nintendo - Will wii still be "supported" by third parties once the ps2 is dead?

All possible combinations will continue to come out, including some PS2 exclusives. It's only a matter of how much go Wii as primary market, or something else. As things are moving, by 2011 the majority of the third party support will likely go wii. If anything, it's the PS3/360 that has to worry if the wii continues to outsell the two of them combined.  The PS360 have been getting games that were planned years ago, and will contniue for another couple years.

The PS2 won't die anytime soon. It's still profitable, I don't see a reason why sony would kill a product which happens to be making them money every week.

i don't think they will kill the ps2 till they release the ps4, and even then they might not kill it if it's still making them some kind of money.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

I do.

Because then they wouldn't be able to just "rush port" any old ps2 game they on releasing, for the wii. Which would be great... Maybe we'd get some half decent built from the ground up games then.
