That's mean. >_>
gay marriage also banned in the state of California. polls showed 7/10 black people voted for proposition 8. Heh, maybe a democratic candidate won the white house, but in turn a state that accepted gay marriage can't any longer.

No being a libretrain basically means being "for all rights"
While Republicans tend to be for economic rights, and some personal rights...
and Democrats tend to be for most personal rights but not all.
Basically that a person being free and being able to make their own choices supercedes everything else. (So long as such a thing doesn't directly hurt someone else.)

Well that's just out of line. Aside from which... it's not like democrats are much better. If your going to be one of the two, better to go with the other issues. I mean, why give someone points because they're "Less against" gay marriage... and furthermore to choose that over ever other issue you may believe in? The Lob Cabin Republicans would be better off making there own party sure... but i can see why someone would be one if they agreed with republicans more then democrats except for that issue. |
Alright, I changed it for you Kasz.

Same reason Amendment 2 passed in Florida. Unfortunately the only person to blame for this is Obama. He brought out a ton and a half of African American voters and we all know most African Americans are overly religious. |
It's not religious so much as it is cultural. For a few reasons.
The least controversal one though is that minorties are often very racist vs other minorities... often much more so then the majority is.
Also, there are other specific reasons black people are espiecially homophobic, that don't really rely on race.

which is?

Black people actually are pretty homophobic. A lot of black families look at it like it is their shame if their kids, ESPECIALLY males, are gay.

Well for one... *in general* (basic sociological safeword.) Black culture makes a bigger deal out of men being men. While being gay is seen as not being masculine.
It's even worse to come out in african american communites because of this.
Some of it has to do with rap. Some of it has to do with the fact that parents feel there kids need to be tougher to survive because of racism. Some of it has to do with just the fact that there is a real shortage of african american men... and some of it even probably has to do with the fact that gayness is somewhat seen as "white..." and being seen as remotley white is a bad thing in some circles.
Most famous gay people are white... I can't think of a single famous minority who's gay right now though i'm sure they are out there.

Wow. That was amazing. Where did this come from? I can't believe I hadn't seen this.
Who knew fkusumot's race leader was into sweaty basketball players? If I was gay, I'd be more into Asian spacemen than sweaty basketball players.
