hmmm

Neither is better. It's just a matter of taste. I prefer Bethesda game design in the the act that they like the grandiose worlds. They offer some truly offer your own story of play.

Bioware makes choose your own adventure RPGs. They are very good, but generally there RPG are more a follow the story design. (I haven't played Mass Effect yet)

Bioware = Story, Bethesda = Content. Both have the other, but do only one of them better than the other.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Bethesda

Well, I've only played KOTOR, Jade Empire and Sonic Chronicles from Bioware, and they all sucked as far I'm concerned (but Mass Effect looks pretty good...).

Fallout 3 is amazing, so I choose Bethesda :)

Both Bioware and Bethesda are past their prime, with their recent games being a shadow of of what made at their peak. But I reckon Bioware is ahead of Bethesda:

Bioware:
Knights of the Old Republic 7.5/10
Jade Empire 5/10
Mass Effect 7.5/10

Bethesda:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 6/10
Oblivion: Knights of the Nine 6/10
Oblivion: Shivering Isles 7/10
Fallout 3 x/10

None of them have released a great game in years. In my honest opinion, CDProjekt, Turbine, Blizzard, Mythic, Obsidian and ArenaNet are making better games today:

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition 9/10

Turbine:
The Lord of the Rings Online 9/10

Blizzard:
World of Warcraft 10/10
WoW: The Burning Crusade 8/10
