an arcade game brings nothing of the same value as an AAA game, all it does is bring some cheap fun. no story, no emotion, no presentation, nothing.

Says the PandaexpressPanda. If you look for AAA title It's anything that garners a 90+% average and are games (89% does not even count unless It's 89.6 which you can round up on gamerankings to a 90. We've been over this before). Braid and Geometry Wars 2 are games regardless if they are disc format or not. With more games going to digitial distribution It's only a matter of time before PSN gets It's first AAA digital only title. Then what? Will you count it as a AAA title, or are you simply in denial because none of your PSN titles are at 90% or higher?



It's just that simple.

Left 4 Dead ,Banjo: Nuts & Bolts & Call of Duty 5 is AAA games and there is a high chance for Mirror's Edge to be AAA game .... btw how many AAA games ps3 have this year ?

Left 4 Dead I believe has the best chance of getting a 90+ rating, Banjo might be a long shot, and Call of Duty and Mirror's Edge could both be potential low 90's or high 80's. It will be close but I believe the 360 can get that 20th AAA this year!

 

(Sony only has nine with a potential of 2 more this year - Mirror's Edge & Call of Duty)

 

 

Yup, which is why this is a perfect time to own both a PS3 AND a 360, to just have one your not counted as a true HD gamer in my book.

Arcade games are real, I've played them and seen them with my own eyes. How is a commercial comparable to a movie?

Why wouldn't they count?  Can you actually give a good reason besides they just don't?

Just because they're cheaper and a smaller scale doesn't make them any worse or less significant.  Braid was one of the best games this year and Bomberman Live is amazing.  And what was that other little game?  Mega something 9?
