Uhmmm, where exactly is the impressive feature in these screens. I found Lost Odyssey boring to death but it still looks FAR superior at least graphically. And Last Remnant looks more impressive too.
Argh... another linear uninspired JRPG. I'm glad that the genre is declining. Any comparison to Western titles that are released almost simultaneously (like Fallout 3) is doomed to oblivion.

Multi.. player... JRPG.... :: head explode::

ΟK guys, I take it back if the truth upsets you. I'm not trolling on PS3. I'm trolling on JRPGs, and I shouldn't. But, wait a minute.

@mibuokami...

Do you mean, you actually think Fallout 3 is a multiplayer RPG? Oh my god, there is something wrong with the information flow on the internet!

Please, wake up!

White Knight Chronicles

Apparently new footage might be going live tonight. I'm assuming it's the trailer from TGS, since that has yet to be released officially.  All we have is off cam footage.

From another forum:

Scheduled for "release" (for lack of a better term) on 11/5/2008 @ 3PM JPN time.

For those that are too lazy to figure out what time that is in the US:
~10:00PM Pacific Time on 11/4/2008

This will be a web release and potentially password protected since you need info on a card that Level 5 handed out at their booth at TGS2008. Originally was planned for 10/31/2008.

If it's not password restricted, I'll post the link up later tonight...if not, you guys might want to scour around youtube or gametrailers.com or what not a little bit after that time.

Sorry, I don't have the link to this particular page at work atm...will post later tonight.

I guess it's more than just a trailer. :)

Here is the link, might be better to put it in your OP.

lol I think you haven't even watched gameplay videos of WKC because it is more graphically detailed than LO

and what do you mean by WKC as an "another linear uninspired JRPG"? Already played it? ROFL. WKC will be far from being a linear game if based from the features announced so far...

Like many poster has pointed out, I was referring to your jab at WKC, the topical issue considering this is a thread about it and not Fallout.

This is literally the first JRPG I can think of with a definite multiplayer component AND an epic scale single player component all wrapped up in one.

Perhaps it is still considered 'linear' and 'uninspiring' in your book, but I and many others consider this a major step forward for a genre that has stayed pretty much persistent since its conception in the NES era.

You should probably look into a game a bit more before you make such a grand and generalised statement in the negative.

Even though they're not supremely detailed, I find myself liking the character models.

I have pretty high hopes for this game, not because of content (seems pretty standard JRPG in terms of story) but because of the pedigree of the developer.

Good God how did I miss this post!!!

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou! Downloading right now.

Okay, it appears to be more an interview than trailer. Things I noted from it include:

1) Level 5 has one pimped out reception and conference area.

2) Level 5 likes to have round and curved furniture and office space

3) I finally get a close up look at the White Knight's in game design rather than CG

4) The theme is really catchy

5) I wish I could understand Japanese :(

Also the 2 censored items are interesting. One appears to be a lifesize Yoda model (confirm L5 Star War jrpg lol?) the other i think is an xbox360 in the recreation roof.

Yay, and I really think they have a great studio, I expected much less from a small company like Level-5.  One thing I didn't like about the game is the bad ground texture, but the clouds kinda make it up for this, they're truly amazing.

I don't think they have concentrated much on graphics this time around, but rather they have focused more on gameplay, and as long as the gameplay is great, I am fine with it. However, the only thing I didn't like about WKC from day one was these Gundam like Knights you transform to, it is a great concept, but I don't know why I don't like it.

I think this game will be amazing, and there are tons of great stuff in it that we won't know about till we get our hands on it. Oh, and by the way, I totally agree with you, it sucks not to know Japanese.

Yea the ground texture weren't the best and the poli counts for the model also didn't look that high, I assume this is to facilitate online portion of the game. I am still very hyped though, the gameplay looks hella fun and I cannot wait to try the online portion of the game.

Anyone care to embed the new video?
