I can't believe Canada now has a more Conservative government than the US. I never thought I would see the day.

Congratulations Mr. Obama! :)

Thanks damkira

Its strange because its getting closer and closer in Ohio. There is only 25% of the precincts counted, and Obama's lead is dwindling. I wouldnt be surprised if he does win it, but its a little early to call it.

Same with New Mexico, with only 6% of the vote counted, and yet McCain is leading but its called for Obama.

I think im gonna wait for the final counts before making claims.

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

Hey, and obviously its not over yet, but no hard feeling to the Republicans. McCain is a great guy, probably the best nominee the Republicans have had since Eisenhower, IMO. I can't say he ran his campaign like I would have wanted him to, but he is still an extremely devoted servant of his country.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Man, didn't see this thread. I am sooooo hyped!!!!

Yea as much I want Obama to win its not over yet.....

Well, as a conservative, I have to say that I'm disappointed in the way things are looking, but I really didn't expect much different. Congratulations to Mr. Obama, I hope you turn out to be a great president, and here's to hoping you don't move away from capitalism in America.

EDIT:

I'd say that Reagan was very good; in my opinion, he's the best we've had in a while.

lesser of two evils...
