Killzone 2 is an awesome shooter, its about the only online shooter to hold my attention longer than 5 minutes!

I played the R2 beta and was left rather unimpressed; I'm quite certain it won't be a purchase for me.  Regardless, the use of phrases like "utter crap" and "looks terrible" when comparing COD4 to R2 smacks of rampant fanboyism.

multiplayer graphics are not the same as single player.

 

single player graphics are very polish.

 

 

Not to mention it's a beta.  I'm sure everybody remembers all the hating Halo 3 got over it's beta graphics.  Halo 2 in 720p, etc.

I've played more Killzone 2 in the past few weeks than I've played any shooter since Source.  I've played it more than RFOM, Warhawk, and the R2 beta combined (though that's not saying much, given how little I played R1 online)!

It's really damn fun.

now I haven't played either game, but...

it's odd reading that since the story/development in GoW was so....bad and that R:FoM had awesome weapons. (and good story and decent characterization)
