Forums - Sales - Most Gamers Shop Wal-Mart First

I go to Gamestop or Bestbuy most of the time. I got Resistance 2 today from Wal-mart though because the previously mentioned two places were sold out. Wal-mart is my safety because they are almost never sold out.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

It varies... normally gamecrazy (especially used), amazon (/vgchartz store!), but also gamestop (but their used prices are generally a rip off, but sometimes new), Best Buy, Walmart and Mejeir. Actually, if I count it up, the biggest % of my games in the last couple of years have been from Toys-R-Us. They have had the most advertised sales. Others were listed in order.

I support too many retailers. lol

Just found out Best Buy has added a gamer program to their reward zone so between that , silver membership and reward zone mastercard I think I'm getting 12% of the listed price for games now.
Hard to beat that...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

my wife gets a 15% discount at Gamestop. She's a manager at a Barnes and Nobles book store and they have discounts with various stores, and they get discounts there. It's pretty sweet.

I usually go to Toys R Us first.

Just to support them since they're in trouble... I have some awesome memories as a kid making the rounds and picking stuff out I wanted on my x-mas list.

I go to Gamestop, where I am a new game averages about $10 less than Wal-Mart.

Enjoy

I've never bought a game from wal-mart, and I never intend to.  It isn't very surprising though.

Are those games still plastic wrapped ?

Gamestop online has about the same price as Wall Mart so kinda surprising a shop in the franchise would sell them for cheaper...

haven't bought a game at walmart actually.
mostly because the games are locked away and have to find someone to help me.

Ugh, I hate buying @ wal-mart... I also don't see the point at making an account at IGN either though, as all of the free stuff is available to the public...

I have only bought 1 game at walmart, and it was because it was a $60 game on clearance for $10...

NWhile on that topic, Wal-mart almost never has any games that are over 3 weeks old...

i dont care to much for gamestop. when i have bought games from there, often the plastic wrap had already been taken off.
