Microsoft could throw out a real curve ball next year.

They have one massive shooter every holiday season, and it has gone like this:

2005: Perfect Dark Zero (Yeah, I know)
2006: Gears of War
2007: Halo 3
2008: Gears of War 2

The problem is, the Halo 3 expansion is coming early next year, making Halo 4 for Christmas 2009 doubtful.

Anyway COD 6 will be released then that is going to be more important for me =p.

If my memory is right, i read Halo 3: recon was comming in Fall 2009, but i might be wrong.

Even if Halo Recon hits at the end of the year, it can't possibly count as the console's big shooter of the year.

PD2 would be cool, I just bought PDZ and no one plays that game online ever...What about Unreal 3 that'd be cool =)

PDZ was ok for a general launch game, but it was definitely not a worthy successor to PD.

Well, If it actually followed on from PD N64 yes it would be awesome. That particular branch of story was really good. Also by the looks of promising talk surrounding nuts and bolts graphics to, they should be able to pull some nice FPS graphics to.

leave a PD game for the Halo team... let Rare do some more crazy stuff

I don't mind who makes it, as long as they make it kick-ass.

PD is very different to Halo though.
