So I was in the kitchen and had the commercials running and one for 24: Redemption comes on.  I've been hearing about this thing for a few months and always just assumed it was the first few episodes of the new season and they got rid of the whole Tony being the villain thing.

Now this commercial said something interesting: it said before the season begins they were going to have this special 2 hour event called 24: Redemption.

Does this mean this is some sort of prequel to season 7 and that they're still doing the whole bad Tony thing?

Yes. This is a prequel to sesason 7. I think it happnes in another country, even, if I remember correctly.

I think it will be something to keep the fans excited for the next seasion, and make people catch up with the show, since it didn´t air this past season.

Yes, it's the prequel to Season 7, which should start in January. It is partly taking place in Africa (some non-existant country).

This 2 hour prequel is a remnant of the shooting they already done for Season 7 before the writers-strike.

I'm very hyped for Season 7, 24 has been of the air for way too long.

Ehm, no country has seen Season 7. It starts in January in the US.

What's the spoiler? The Africa thing is in the trailer, so that's hardly a spoiler, since you'd have to stop watching Fox to avoid it. Besides it's about Redemtion, not season 7. I can give you a season 7 spoiler though:

Anyways, I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in 24.  The last season weren't nearly as good as the first few and the setup does get a little old but damn it's good action and the last season wasn't bad at all.

Wait, wait, WAIT!!!! Didn't Tony die in Season 5 or 6?

Yeah, I had been thinking that too, I need to go back and watch the seasons.  I've been meaning to, just been being lazy about it.  >_>

No, it was implied, but you didn't actually see it. He also didn't get the silent clock, which happens when major characters die.

When will 24: Redemption be broadcasted? In January before the actual season or in December as a teaser?
