Mac OS X 10.4.10

After six years of Windows XP, I'm thrilled to be back on a Mac. At first I was intimidated since I was learning a whole new system (It's a lot different than the macs of yesteryear. But I was amazed how intuitive it felt. Everything just clicked. Spend a few minutes with any aspect of the OS and you'll say "Wow, that makes a lot of sense" I can run all the programs I could ever need and the Widgets dashboard is an awesome little feature.

I've already convinced a Windows using friend of mine to get a macbook, just by showing how well mine worked.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I'm currently using Windows Vista Home Preimum...this OS is tight as heck..Microsoft is rich...i wish somebody could make a Bill Gates picture that has money spitting out of a Windows Vista compatiable computer....now that would be funny..just like the DS and Wii one where it was spitting money out of the DS and Wii...^_^

Your friend either was already looking for a new system, or has extra cash to spend. :P

I don't like Macs because they have a premium cost, and they're quite frankly not worth it. Gaming on a Mac and on Linux is basically the same, so Linux ftw. :)

1) Windows, because of most software supporting Windows.
2) AmigaOS, because it's fast, responsive, great multi-tasking (+Screens) and highly customizable.
3) Linux, because it and many good lInux sofware is free.

A lot of people I know who have gone to mac usually are comparing a newer mac to their older PC and they are wowed by how fast they are. Others get macs because of school AI uses them quite a bit. It is easier to game on a Mac than linux but at least it with Linux you can get drivers for an 8800GTX and many of the big big games come out on a mac with the benefit of Itunes built in. I honestly still can't understand he easier to use bit about macs though. It is easier to use than Linux I do not find OS X intuitive or easy to use and I have been using the macs for years. To each their own.

They still make an Amiga OS I thought they stopped with v4. I agree with you Amigas were the best PCs for their time light years beyond windows and apple machines espicailly for video or sound.

well, gates is the richest man on earth you know.

oh wait, that's old news now.  he's now #2.

the Wii is an epidemic.

Windows XP on 3 of our machines, but only professional on one. No particular reasons, but no reasons not to that I can think of.

We have Vista Home Premium on our newish machine, because my dad didn't want to get XP as he's worried about support ending too soon (I think XP support ends in 09 or somin, ie Windows Updates). However, it has a loada problems and is pretty crap for the moment.

i see ubuntu is getting a lot of love on this forum (i have it too)

I have a PowerBook G4 so obviously i run OSX. My desktop is a P4 and that runs Ubuntu exclusively. I wine it for the occasional game of Starcraft, but I find my mac runs SC perfectly

I'm glad I've finally broken free of Microsoft
