Which ps3 game achieves this?

Personally I will be judging RFOM 2, and KZ2 against this game. So this game is the benchmark for me.

Left 4 dead I will probably just compare to TF2.

You could call it a benchmark for quality, polish, graphics, multiplayer, controls, it likely does it all well. You could even use it to measure how the standards have changed for a AAA game between Late 2006 and now.

If we're going by reviews, then its more of a benchmark of gaming then MGS4:

'Course it may not stay that way, but we'll see. Ain't that somthing though? 2 years to make and probably a fraction of the cost.

ZenfoldorVGI, my apologies. having never played a gears game and all and sundry comparing it to KZ2 and R2 i assumed it was a FPS. guess i should pay more attention to my own sig. Any way im glad you got my point. It really is far to early to calling gears 2 the benchmark of this gen.

Uncharted is benchmark for graphics and only KZ2 will top it. Actually nothing have come close to KZ2 E307 trailer which was over one year old and its looks even better now.

I never get the uncharted argument.

My neighbour has the ps3 and I played a bit of uncharted.

It certainly never stood out of the crowd for me graphics wise.

I mean what is it better than h3 assasins creed etc etc.

All reviews of Gears 2 completely disagree with you. As some use the words that Gears 2 pushes HD visuals to a new realm.

Well before people start getting out of hand and become banned for indecency.

It's a matter of opinion, it truly is, there are different types of graphical perspective. There are those who honestly don't like the art direction of GeoW2.

So really, this is null. 

In all Gears of War 2 is very, very pleasing to the eye Graphically and will be for a long time to come.  It does push HD to a lot of new limits, but that doesn't mean it's a set Benchmark.  Because as I said before it's the art direction it takes to produce the quality of graphics it gives and some people do not like that art style.
