Ape Escape on the PS1, PSM magazine hyped it to hell, and I fell for it....not a bad game, but not deserving of the hype they gave it.
I'd say Eternal Sonata. I loved GTAIV, FFXII, and Halo: CE.

FF7 It's not bad, but no where near the godsend everyone said it was.
GTA4. This game is a mockery of the entire videogame review industry.
I will be creating a new thread tommorow with a poll including the most mentioned games on here, if anyones got any other big names we may have missed throw em out here.
GTA4 and Fable 2. Both obviously mediocre games that got strangely enough rave reviews.
