Is "more than half" considered as close? because if not then I will have to hold you to that prediction

I do wonder about this price thing people keep using as an excuse.... ignoring the fact that it's only the arcade (certainly not 100% of sales and not even the best selling model) which is half the price. What is to say it doesn't remain half the price anyway. If Sony lose another $100 off their price, why can't MS take off another $50 and keep it half the price.... thus keeping sales parity between the consoles (Well, supposedly price is a huge factor so if the price ratio remained the same they should continue to equal each other in sales)
That way, 3-4 years doen the line when the PS3 has finally reached $200, the Arcade model can be priced at $100 (with the main premium model at ~$130-140 and the Elite at $200) and still keep the 5 million sales lead it has.
Don't get me wrong, I personally thing PS3 will pass the X360 eventually, but this "...ha but PS3 costs twice as much" thing is getting on my nerves, it means nothing other than that the fans of Sony seem to like paying more for their experience.
