After a couple of years, I had to turn my PS1 on it's side to get it to read discs. Eventually, I had to turn the PS1 upside down. Temporary fix's at best. The PS1 still died.

Hehe, I had my fat PS2 at 45 degrees to try and get it to work... no luck, I have had no problems with my thin one.
I only had a PS1 for 6 months before the PS2 so I never really had any problems with it

@d21lewis: My PS1 ended up the same way! I had to turn it on it's side or I would get errors. Later I had to play with it upside down! Eventually, I ended up getting a PS2, so my PS1 was "retired" before it died completely, hehe.

same, I had the same PS1 for 4-5 years, but I had 2 PS2's because of Disc Drive failure.

I had two PS1s, one worked fine, the other had to be on its side to play certain games.
I went thru 3 or 4 early PS2 cause of Disc Read error...
it's gonna take about 2 weeks to get it back from repairs and gears come out on friday so you cant get it in time
She's dead. I feel like crying. I guess it's a yearly tradition that my 360 dies every November.
