i liked mgs 3 more, the ending in mgs 3 was so good compared to mgs4 except for the fight scene between snake and liquid

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I agree... I found the game to be a big letdown. Story as is was fine...but the usual humour was lacking.

Gameplay on the other hand was too easy and very limiting. Boss battles were the only interesting part, and even they were lifted straight from old MGS games with a twist added. (Sniper wolf, Psycho mantis...etc) Part 1 and 3 are still golden in my books...2 and 4 are misfires.

Really? Really? I'm not going to spend hours upon hours writing down an elaborate story that would've been better, I'd rather just point out everything I found faulty and ridiculous with it. Keep in mind though, that this is just what I've heard of the story, so feel free to point out if I have any facts wrong.

1. NANOMACHINES DID IT LOL. "Why doesn't Vamp die?" "OH IT'S THE NANOMACHINES" "Why doesn't cancer kill Naomi?" "OH THAT'S BECAUSE OF NANOMACHINES"

2. Big Boss got shot to death. Why the **** is he suddenly alive again? That was such a massive copout of epic proportions that I don't know what to say. Say what you will about the flakey story in MGS, but I can't really think of any time that someone died and then suddenly came back (Except Gray Fox, which was pretty well handled since he was a cyborg and, well, crazy, and the Liquid-controlling-Ocelot-thing got retconned in MGS4)

3. That the team I grew to love in MGS3 suddenly went all evil. Major Zero wasn't that big of a stretch, I suppose, I've heard he did some weird stuff in MGS: PO(Haven't played it yet, but planning to), but Para-Medic? Sigint? Oh, let's add to the fact that Sigint is apparently the DARPA Chief despite the fact that they look nothing alike besides both being black. Nicely done, Kojima.

MGS4 practically pissed on the masterpiece that was MGS3 and it angers me to no end that someone who created such a masterpiece felt the need to tear it down as well. If I don't block MGS4 out of my mind, pretty much every character from MGS3 is completely ruined for me, except perhaps Ocelot. Thanks, Kojima. Really appreciate it.

From what I can remember, Big Boss got defeated by Snake with a spray can and a lighter. And then the building blew up. I agree with you on the other points.

The 'drama' in MGS4 was pretty pathetic and hilarious instead of sad. Otacon crying over a one night stand...pfft.

I loved MGS4 until I read these points. The B&B Corp always bothered me too, as I felt they were nothing compared to the bosses you face in 1, 2, or 3. I guess I was also just amazed by Big Boss at the end so I didn't really analyze the circumstances under which he appeared. It doesn't make sense that he's alive, the nanomachines ruling everything was a cop out, and I also agree about Otacon crying over Naomi to be ridiculous. Lol, there's so many holes.

Ah, is that right? My mistake then. I seemed to recall he was shot and died. Sorry 'bout that one.
