Or do you even know that these games are based on manga/anime?

I remember playing Valkyria Profile and then found out there was manga..

No, I research my purchases very well. Rented on the other hand. A few, not many however. That being a generalized statement; I have no idea what could be wrong with any manga/anime games. Quite a number of them are quite good.
