Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 Sales SHOULD be above 26 Million Jan 1st

The last 2 months of last year saw 3.2 Million xbox 360's sold according to this site.

Current 360's sold - 21.8

 

So lets say it sells the same amount as last year, which is a no brainer right?

 

that puts it dead on 25 Million.

 

That is without adding the YOY raise and the price cut effect, which will be more effective come the holiday season. I reckon Microsoft will have shipped 27 million consoles by Jan 1st so the boxs will/should be out there. WII sales will be huge, There is no reason why the PS3 should sell any better this christmas, the 360 is the one to watch this christmas :)

Last christmas, but now you come to mention it ....

All im saying is they outsold them last christmas with very few top quality Exclusives....

I agree after M$ was touting "the best holidya lineup ever" at 07's E3 we expected 360 to destroy PS3 at xmas

that didn't quite happen

PS3 had the advantage of its 1st EU christmas last year, the console came out in march so I'm sure a lot of people waited until christmas.

I would like to think the 360 will have a massive Xmas with it's price advantage. If it doesn't outsell PS3 this Xmas then the Xbox 360 is truly finished as the PS3 has an extraordinary lineup of Games and a price cut to come in 09

It was pretty much the cheapest blu ray player though.
