Before Wind waker, the story will be about the fall of Hyrule, and the game ends with the "last effort" to leaft sealed Gannondorf, the whole game could be very dark and more mature than others, using that premise because everybody knows that ganondorf destroys everything, almost win.
Alternating time frames.
A Link "from the past" and one "from the future". Ones actions affect the other.
Start with the A Link to the Past Link. It is ironic.
