Would it play on a NTSC-U PS3? I want it just for the eye candy factor alone. That movie is going to look phenomenal in high-def.
It should. Blu-Ray, unlike DVD, is divided into only three regions. Japan and NA are in the same region.

Do you have any idea how much SE will charge for this sucker in Japan? 
I could see upwards of 60 USD. And then there's shipping.
