Just a heads up, the Rock Band Drums and Guitars are not compatible with Guitar Hero: World Tour.  I bought the GH: WT disc only game, and now I can't play the drums. :(  It seems that both companies are trying their hardest to keep the two incompatible.  It really sucks for consumers and it's a terrible thing for our living rooms to have all these plastic instruments sitting around.

Anyway I just wanted to make sure people knew about the incompatibility since most stories about Rock Band / Guitar Hero: World Tour talk about how the instruments are compatible, but that seems to only be true for the XBox 360. :p

It's funny considering that since it uses the Wiimote. They tend to register as Classic Controllers. Which means that this isn't a protocol issue, but a money greed issue.

Well if RB2 Wii all instruments are compatible. Then I will be good. If not well then too bad Rock Band 2.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Well, unless you already have Rock Band Wii instruments (don't know why anyone would wnat to own Rock Band Wii, but anyway) then what's the issue? The software may be debatable, but Guitar Hero has better hardware.

It would be fairly hard for them to be compatible haha considering one uses 4 colors and the other uses 5 haha.

^ Well Guitar Hero accepts Rock Band drums on PS360 and downgrades the track to have four notes. I don't really see how Rock Band could upgrade the track to have five notes, although I'd be surprised if EA did anything that would lose them a few sales.

Haha ah didn't know they did that. Well devs like to feed on the ignorance of the mass mainstream buyers on the Wii platform so they'll probably continue to do that.

Who says the mainstream buyers are the only ignorant ones? You yourself didn't know that the charts could be altered. Does that make you ignorant?

People in general are ignorant and what about me not knowing.  Last time I checked my ego meter I knew pretty much everything haha. 

No one says ignorance is a bad thing.  Why does everyone think ignorant is inherently bad.  It's not.  It just means when you are ignorant you are more likely to be manipulated whether good or bad.  That's why bad iterations of games in big brands will still sell haha.
