Forums - General - Where best to live. USA or UK?

@Kyros - You outta see some of the fashions out there! My trip to Florida in the summer really opened my eyes.

If you don`t mind the hot weather and the insanely friendlly people, learn portuguese and come to Brasil.

Offtopic: Tem algum brasileiro nesse site?

UK. America is NOT the greatest country in the world as they always say, it ranks quite low IMO. That and the population was stupid enough to elect Bush twice.

Yeah for not making ridiculous examples? I've been to a good amount of the world, currently living in the Netherlands, but even most Europeans here don't hold such a low opinion of America. Or are you French and despise our inability to speak a half dozen languages to function fully throughout Europe? :P

Oh, and in the UK, we got the Mirror's Edge demo first.

Oh Canada

best country in the world

Clearly the thread title meant: "If I couldn't live in Australia, where best to live, USA or UK?"

Há alguns Brasileiros, e alguns Portugueses também. Eu sou Português. Acho que podes criar o tópico com confiança ;)

Ontopic: Right now, I wouldn't choose any of them. If I had to, I'd choose UK though (nearer to home, both geographically and culturally).

As a European, one of the problems with going to work to the US is that companies have such low vacation times that they're barely enough to recover from the jet lag on an annual trip home.

tough call. I hear the cost of living is high in the UK

but right now the US economy sucks. You could get a house in the US for real cheap now though.

I've spent about two weeks there before and I can tell you that Toronto is much better.

that or Montreal.

Montreal rules, outside of all the homeless.

On topic.  How much money are you likely to make?

That's probably going to be the best indicator of where is better to live if you care about that sort of thing.

Otherwise it's totally up to taste.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
