Forums - Microsoft - Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2: Will Microsoft buy them?

I think Microsoft will definately keep Mass Effect, that game was a big success and it's one of the best WRPG's of this generation, something like KOTOR was last gen.

Bioshock i could se it going multiplat, yet MS proved that timed exclusivity hurt PS3 sales big time, so they coould repeat it.

And where exactly is the advantage in doing that for the developers/publisher of the game ?

The game isn't published by Microsoft.

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I wouldn't spend extra money on Bioshock 2 if I were MS.

Their own sales + the abysmal sales on the PS3 would mean that the majority of players already connect the game with the Xbox.

Why waste money on a franchise your console already "owns"?

only reason fpr them ps3e bio sales is because its come out a year later and here are to many other great games coming out, quit blowing smoke

wth...blowing smoke?

I said what I would do if I were MS.  I'm not saying that Bioshock on PS3 sucks or anything.  Based on what we know now, NOT paying for BS2 is what I would do if I were MS.  Nothing else was meant by that.

All that Bioshock has shown us is that for long delay time exclusivity, third party should charge the console makers almost as much as for a straight exclusivity..

I think 2K had already taken into acount that Bioshock wouldn't sell enormously well when they decided to port a one year old game from the Xbox to the PS3.

Also, I think Bioshock 2 has a lot more potential of selling better on PS3... Since, I think, it'll be a simultaneous release... So the debut week will be Much higher!... Also, putting the first Bioshock 2 teaser on the PS3 version is an indication that 2K will bring Bioshock 2 to the PS3 no matter what the first one will sell. Maybe Bioshock just came to PS3 to make sure people are able to play the first one because they had already decided they'd bring the 2nd...~!~Just thinking~!

THE NETHERLANDS

I just hope I can play both games =)

I'd B shocked if Mass Effect didn't make it's way on PS3

mass effect series will be only on 360 on the console side, because if i remember correctly m$ let ea have the rights to publish the future games in the series, and publish mass effect on the pc. if they would keep the series only on the 360, on the console side. bioshock series will be a mulit system release.

I read that as well, and was going to post it also.

The Bioshock 2 trailer on the PS3 version doesn't really mean a lot, as Tri-Ace will testify woth the SO4 PSP trailer.

Bioshock- 99% chance of multi-plat with same day release
Mass Effect- 50/50 chance of multi-plat
