well look at marvel vs street fighter, zagief vs the juggernaunt??????
wolverine vs akuma?????
ciclops vs ruy???
none of those are fair. but i dont like MK anymore ever since mk 2 all has become a joke.

marvel vs. capcom is ok. there are no such characters such as S-man that have every power in the book.

juggernaut is far from invulnerable. his biggest weakness is he's an idiot, not to mention he's extremely slow.

wolverine and akuma is a great match. lots of people underestimate wolverine, but really he's potentially immortal.

cyclops and ryu is extremely balanced. i don't see why it can be seen as unfair.

the problem with mk vs. dc is that S-man is way above and beyond everyone else. i doubt any of the characters possess kryptonite.

They don't have to possess kryptonite.  Remove Superman from his power source, that's one reason.  Or maybe in the opening of the game he gets blasted with a concentrated amount of kryptonite for a bit, and that temporarily lowers his powers for a time to come.  Or maybe Raiden or some other god like person removes most of his powers for the event.  They very well could do that, Superman is just as vulnerable to magic as anyone else, and a God's powers are magic, or something even above that.

Superman is just an alien that is super charged by yellow suns.

i don't buy it. its a foolhardy attempt to mingle S-man with inferiors. it's like Wayne Rooney playing in the little leagues. There's no convincing me. S-man dominance for life!

@bugrimar
Well apocalip is in xmen vs street fighter and you could beat him, which is all bull because apocalyp is a near good.

@radha

apocalypse was portrayed at least to be a final boss that was not playable, much harder to beat than the other characters.

superman is portrayed here to be like any other character. the same as kano, a common criminal. that's the problem here.

I don't understand something which hopefully a superman fan can help me with.

The latest superman film (superman returns) tells us Sman and Louis Lane had sex (surprisingly it didn't kill her) and she gave birth to a super child. I'm not trying to be funny, but if this kid kicked like most babies do during pregnancy, how the hell did Louis Lane survive without having her stomach torn open every time the baby kicked inside of her :S

S-man is a special breed.

In the marvel universe, there's no such person that has all the powers available. juggernaut may be strong, but he's eclipsed by gladiator and isn't very smart. he's a pretty good fit in there, in my view, because there are other characters who are just as strong and have unique qualities that potentially can beat him, such as colossus (just as powerful and body is tougher), wolverine (adamantium can cut him seriously), or psylocke (destroy his mind).

the problem with mk vs. dc is that superman cannot be beaten by any existing character in mk. no freaking way.

Special breed as in has a massive flaw which all his enemies know and have and has been tempted by his 'darker' side on more then one occasion, cheats on his wife, is willing to kill as well and does etc

My point with Juggernaut is that, in the Comics he is invulnerable completely, he cannot be physically harmed because of the magic that surrounds him, not even Wolverine's claws can harm him. So in a fighting game it seems odd he can be defeated in a straight fight. His invulnerbility is the key, not strength. Colossus is nothing compared to him on strength level (I mean real Juggernaut not Austen Juggernaut) and his helmet protects his mind but remove of it is obviously his downfall against Psychics...this is all comics, in a straight physical fight, he cannot be harmed.

There are a few many people that eclipse Juggernaut in strength, ignoring the cosmic beings of course. But overal you aer right, Stuperman's set of powers and only one real weakness means he will wipe the floor with everyone in MK....although he is partial to pain from magic and electricity, Raiden may have a chance.

Hmm, pie.

Classic Superman fanboyism! Ban him!

in some comics, S-man and Lois Lane are like well, unofficial long distance lovers only known to themselves. that could be an answer to the child. but then again, the comics and the movies don't really talk to each other well enough.

but if only the movies are to be talked about, in Superman 2, S-man and Lois did have a 'sex scene' in his house in the north pole.

to answer your 'baby is so strong' question, well in the movie the child seems to only have discovered his powers recently. before the arrival of S-man back the planet (or crisis situation that drew it out), the child was rather weak and sickly with many allergic reactions.

that massive flaw you speak of can only be exploited by people who can actually possess a fragment of the long lost planet.

i remember seeing colossus and juggernaut having a fight, where tanks, buildings, and the like were being thrown at each other. in the end of it all, juggernaut indeed won, but it was a toughie. also, what about the hulk? he and wolverine acknowledge each other's strengths in battle and so that means wolverine is up there in the top tier. and i'm not about to believe juggernaut is far beyond the hulk. that means wolverine definitely has a chance against juggernaut. i also remember in a cartoon that an optic blast from cyclops removed juggernaut's helmet. easy to remove.

but yea, good that you see the point. even if juggernaut is stronger than the hulk (which is not the case), he can only be stronger by an incremental (small) amount. S-man, however, is stronger by 1000x. S-man is stronger by leaps and bounds. He is so far beyond everyone.

Well, theoretically , Raiden should be able to beat Superman even if he has all his powers. Even in DC universe all the Gods(old and new) are considered more powerful than Superman( not including Superman Prime). Heck, Captain Marvel can pwn Superman.
