Forums - Sales - Why a year old games won't sell well?

I think that some people only buy new games rather that old ones.

Around the Network

There's several reasons... People like new releases better is most of it though. (Resident Evil 4 did well because owners of Nintendo systems needed that kind of game at the time. They weren't getting that many and it helps that it's a great game... I liked it and most generally that's not my cup of tea.)

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

No matter how much you hype an old game it will never sell as good as the orignal.

 Resident Evil 4

ouch.

Resident Evil 4 Wii also came out in June when gaming is pretty quiet. Bioshock PS3 should not have been released at the start of a busy holiday season, when people are going to play new stuff. It would probably have sold better in the summer
