Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto reactions to bad Reviews on Wii Music

I suggest that you actually look at what you criticize before you criticize it. It's a dangerous game, going into a pro- or anti- mindset without really knowing what you're for or against.

Take a gander, unless you wish to continue what amounts to hearsay.

@kingofwale.

Actually yes it is. Sky Renders review is extremely thorough and well written.

What do you think makes Matts opinion worth more than Sky Renders?

Incidentally, kingofwale, have you honestly played Wii Music at all, or are you just practicing hearsay? I ask out of curiosity, as many internet forumgoers seem to be bashing the game without even so much as 5 minutes' worth of play time for it, let alone several hours.

What if I tell you I had 2 hours of playing it? (yes I did), and does that make my point any more valid?

No, it doesn't.

heck, what difference does it make how many hours I played this game? Matt from IGN played tons of the game and people still doubt what he says.

That's because Matt is a douche and his opinion is invalid.

I believe that Matt gets paid to do reviews. To me, that's an immediate red flag, deserving of an in-depth look into the reviewer's history and credentials. People get funny when money is involved. It's a lot easier to throw one's integrity away when one is promised a large sum of money for doing so. And once one has thrown one's integrity away, why, what is to stop one from maintaining a lack of integrity? This, above all else, is why I distrust any form of published review. The moment money becomes a factor, the risk of lost integrity goes up immensely.

the same could be same about you or anyone who post here.

he is a person and have his opinion if you want to say is  invalid, argument something to prove it, don't call it a douche... you are simply making one yourself.

The "red flag" for me, was when Matt said EARLY ON he was going to pan WiiMusic, and give it a bad score - because he hates the game.

Miyamoto loves WiiMusic - he is playing it non-stop. Enough said there.

Yeah, Matt actually saying during a podcast after the E3 showing that he was looking forward to slamming Wii Music was not so much a red flag as a blaring klaxon. That he was allowed to review it after a comment like that is evidence enough that IGN does not actually value the quality or integrity of their products. Were I in charge, I would have pulled Matt forcibly from the list of potential reviewers for Wii Music after that little comment, due to a severe indicator of not just bias, but intentional hatred towards the game in question that assured a total lack of fair judgment.

I don't know how to make a douche but...thanks for that bit of advice anyway.

Matt's opinion is invalid because he was bragging about wanting to slam Wii Music months before thegame was released.

Meh, it's not like Wii Music is a super horrible game. What would you expect from a title that starts with "Wii"? Awesomeness like Reviews for Wii Sports: Resort will likely be similar. And you have to remember, the Japanese have different tastes than an American like me. Why don't people start complaining why 50 Cent: Bulletproof sold a million copies when that game really sucked.
