I'm listening the internet radio on my PSP and realized how many stations there are that are actually good.

Why is it that traditional HD radio cant have the programming that the internet does.

Because the PSP's stations are selected among all the available internet radios throughout the world as opposed to your local broadcast licences which can be applied for by a select number of corporations who are able to meet the FCC's requirements. I've been a subscriber to XM satellite radio for 2 years now because I was so displeased with radio (though up in Quebec, stations have to play 2 awful French songs for every 1 English song or they face government sanctions).

I love setting my PSP to Radio Classique Swisse when I'm getting ready for bed. I haven't experimented with many other genres or stations though. I'm dissapointed niether of the PSP players offer BBC world service (news).

Both internet radio services on the PSP have some great JPOP stations and some funny as hell talk channes
