with recall of LBP, i m not expecting a lot of shipment... something around 200k - 300k for each region
so selling out is not going to be an indication of ownage of any kind

And my local gamestop has 5 copies in stock. Does it mean anything? No absolutely not as anecdotal sales don't mean much. I'm sure LBP and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift are selling awesome but this is not a way to confirm it.

Just out of curiousity, how is your store's PS3 supply looking TC? Did LittleBigPlanet and MotorStorm 2 move any consoles?

He confirmed sold out status in the shop where he works and in the others where he knows about the status of the copies...

He did not say that meant anything aside from the fact that they sold out in those few stores.
