Also, I hated the epilogue. I wouldn't have minded if it was up to maybe 4 years in the future, but 19 was annoying. Partly because I just wasn't a fan--except the last sentence-- but also because it makes it hard for any books between the Deathly Hallows and the epilogue to be released. We know Harry lives and has a family. We know his friends lives. We know he becomes pleasant with the Malfoy's. We know Voldemort doesn't return. There of course could still be plenty of stories, but that just took away a lot of interesting possibilities.

The reason she did the epilogue like that is, its HER story. She doesn't want a bunch of weird erotic stories about harry/hermione having sex and ron and luna getting it on and having 8 kids each. Also, just because his scar didnt hurt doesn't mean he hasn't faced dangers in those 19 years. You think voldemort was the only bad guy who ever existed? Why can't Harry go on worldy adventures with Ginny, Ron and Hermione?? Run into vampires, etc, in some other countries. Remember, voldemort was mainly in the UK...

Even if there isn't more Harry Potter books, JKR has told her story that she wanted to tell. We can only thank her for sharing that with us.

Some other facts:

1) Godric Gryffondor's sword choses Ron as his master...

2) Wormtail shows remorse cause he was friends with James Potter and 'owes' Harry something cause Harry saved his live in book 3. As such, he is strangled by a cursed chain around his neck cause somehow Voldemort knew it would happen.

Uh I kinda disagree with #1:

Neville is the one that pulls it out of the sorting hat to kill Nagini, remember?

and #2 also:

Wormtail wasn't killed by a chain, but his replacement hand that voldemort gave him (the silver one). It strangles him.

Btw: the deathly hallows are:

1) The elder wand... Dumbledore won it from grendelwand... And Snape took it from Dumbledore (Which was supposed to happen... According to Dumbledores plan).

Dumbbledore planned for Snape to be the master, but Malfoy ended up being the master.  Voldemort took it without winning it from Dumbledore's grave and that's why it never worked.  At the end Harry planned to place it back in Dumbloedores tomb hoping he (Harry) would die a natural death so the wand would lose its power.

And I know very well that JKR planned this to be the end, I'm just saying I don't like the fact it's the end.

i reallly enjoyed the book. Quite a good story.I was a bit displeased as i thought that Harry should be have a different lover at the end. BTW that's a lot of killing in that book. Great stuff :D

Yeah wojtas I was kinda hoping that  Harry and Luna would get together... I always thought they seemed better together, but maybe neville would be a better match for her...
