The heavy weapons look great (Mortar, gattling ...).

It also has that typical ultra-violence style...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

You do realize you are violating a forum rule by posting like this?

Stop posting only links, please. It gets right on my tits. I mean, how hard is it to copy and paste a few paragraphs.

Article for people too lazy to open link:

Gears Of War fans have been waiting for Gears Of War 2 ever since they completed the original Gears Of War, and now that time is finally coming Gears Of War 2 releases Nov. 7th and we’ve gotten our hands on it early and are bringing you the fans the first official review of this terrific third person shooter.

Gears Of War 2 is an excellent sequel to the original and just like the original you can run through the entire game co-op over Xbox Live, But now the game features drop in/drop out co-op making the experience even better.
Taking place six months after Gears Of War, you start out as Marcus Fenix and train a new gears soldier named Carmine who helps you and Delta Squad along the way of stopping the new Locust threat from below the earth. You will meet with friends from the original and they will help you along your journey to stop the Locust scum, along your journey you will battle HUGE enemies and save humanity.
The achievement tracker is a useful tool while playing the game it will tell you what more you need to accomplish to gain a achievement. All of your achievements, unlockables, screenshots etc. can be viewed in the war journal.

The environments, weapons, vehicles and characters in this game is fantastic, And the gameplay just as the original Gears is incredible.
Gears Of War 2 has most of the multiplayer features from the original included along with treats for users who completed the original games campaign to use in online matchmaking. The ten maps that ship in Gears 2 will make you feel like you are in the game, they are that realistic.
All the new Multiplayer game types are great but there is one I do not like which is “Meatflag”. In Meatflag you and your opponent shoot it out until one of you capture the VIP “The Meatflag” and then you must bring the VIP back to your scoring area to win the round, While you have the VIP it also acts as a human shield.
The game features a bunch of really cool new executions for when you down an opponent, along with the super cool chainsaw duel that everyone seen in the trailers by now. Each duel is easy to win or lose depending on who can button mash the B button faster.
HORDE is another great mode by far it reminds me of “Terrorist Hunt” from Rainbow Six Vegas but the difference is the AI doesn’t completely suck. In HORDE you battle it out with Locust to see how long you survive and each kill you get adds to your overall score and for every certain amount of locust scum killed you move onto a different wave of enemies.

For all the multiplayer newbies there is a training grounds mode where you play 5 different multiplayer matches against computer opponents, which do help your skill if you never played the original Gears and you unlock a achievement for doing so.
Another awesome new feature is when spectating a match you now have the option to capture a screenshot and upload it to Gearsofwar.com.
Gears Of War 2 has plenty to do and it will hold your attention for a very long time, It’s replay value is high. Some people may even get that “Seriously 2.0″ achievement for 100,000 kills.
Gears Of War 2 is a great experience all around, you should definitely pick it up when it releases Nov. 7th.

9/10

I really can't wait for this game anymore.

Substance. Content is king. Threads lacking content can and will be locked. Some tips to keep you and your posts out of trouble:

  • Do not post just a link. Links have context - expound upon that context. For example, Mario Piano Videos. Post a link, but also give some background on what the link is to, or better yet, comment on how Mario has influenced pop culture. This way, it's not just a link and run. Remember: the reader's interest is not only in the link, its in what you have to say about it, how you make sense of what would otherwise be a blind link (and a subsequent poor thread). The only exception to this rule is for game patches - bearing in mind rule 2, go ahead and get that link posted as fast as possible.
