I know SE are pouring their guts into FFXIII but...

Will XIV and XV be released before this generation ends?  I'm starting to think it won't happen.

FFXIV will probably be a MMORPG (again...) but for this generation, there will only be fabula nova cristalys. So the only "new" final fantasy will be XIV if they release it on ps3/360

Hopefully it will be a lot of time before new entries are announced. Even though the games are usually drastically different, the title is overused, and new entries tend to cut the legs off of older titles. XIII and Versus are plenty.

SQuEnix if they are sensible will develop XIII, XIV and XV all at the same time, even if FFXV is just at story and characters design phase.

But after 3 in PS1 gen and 3 in PS2 gen, I expect a huge 1 from this gen...such a waste.

XV? PS5 methinks!
