Atlus has released a new batch of webisodes of the 2008 RPGOTY

The game looks better than ever, but I'm worried that the voice acting doesn't look too good, specially Chie's voice sucks.

It looks that you'll have a deeper social life than P3, I'm all in for that.

The game comes out on 9th December for PS2.

Yeah, Chie's voice is pretty terrible whenever she tries to sound mad. Not awful when she's just talking, but then my bar for suckage is pretty low right now due to Beat from Eternal Sonata (God damn it I hate that kid)

You're right, I wasn't expecting it to be on par with the Japanese voice (JP voices are always better), but at least to be like Yukiko, which wasn't bad. I want to hear Naoto's voice, doesn't she supposedly act like a man?

I expected the voice overs to be good, like Persona 3 good. Chie's voice doesn't fit her at all. Everyone else is okay. According to the P4 website, Naoto is a dude, but I read somewhere that Naoto was a girl. We'll find out in less than 2 months.

Persona 3's voices were pretty good except for Fuuka (horrible), Ikutsuki (bad, but since the character was somewhat stupid I suppose it fitted) and Natsuki (it drived me nuts, but since she apperead very little it didn't bother me much). The rest were all spot on, specially Junpei and Mitsuru.
We can only hope that only Chie's voice is the bad link and the rest deliver as usual. I think a lot of characters from P3 are reprising roles (Yuri Lowenthal, the guy who did Main Character, Pharos and Ryoji plays Yosuke, so that's one guaranteed to be good)

As for Naoto, first I thought s/he was a man, then I read somewhere s/he is a woman, now I checked the Wikipedia article and noticed how it avoids carefully using articles, so that 's an interesting mystery. Naoto is quickly becoming my favourite character before even playing the game, I love his/her character design. Looks like you like it too

Agreed with the P3 voice overs. Shinji's voice was pretty awesome though. My favorite in the game. As for the avatar, I made a bunch of them, and this one looked the best, but yeah I like Naoto's character design too, along with Chie.
