ok the game is releasing in november and will feature mario and the gang and sonic and his group. now gamers have been dreaming about mario and sonic competing against each other since the snes days of gaming but with the north american version its being made by the sonic team.....

Do you think it'll live up to the hype?

i think it will but im not putting my money on it the game will also have online in some way i dont think we'll be able to compete against each other but we will be able to exchange records.

will you buy the game just to see whos faster mario or sonic? or will you buy it if it has online competition? only

if it has online cometition that would be the only way id buy the game

either one of my friends will buy this or I will, this is gonna be a great party/get together game.

 yeah i would but my friends wont be intrested in it till they get bored of halo 3 so i need the online

Personally i wouldn't be interested in playing a game like this online, it's just not nearly as fun when your friends are not there with you. Competing with other people's scores online (maybe even ghosts?) would be a great idea though.

Never been interested in Olympic games, and not even the first teaming of Mario and Sonic will change my mind! Well, unless of course it turns out to be a fantastic game. But till that point, I say meh!

the only problem for a game like this online is that if you have a slow connection you cant win at all

I don't like online for games like this because it isn't the kind of game that takes an amazing amount of skill, it's gonna be one of those games that's just fun to play with your friends. Games like Counter-strike and Warcraft 3 are perfect for online because there is so much depth and you can continue to get better. A game like wii sports, mario party, or mario olympics just isn't deep enough to play with random people.
