How many on here already got one ?

any plan on getting a hdtv within a year ?

and how big a tv do you plan on getting ?

Around the Network

1. I don't have a HDTV yet

2. Withing a year I don't know, they are quite expensive and here we don't have quality HD signal

3. Around 32"

1. We have a 720p DLP.
2. Likely to replace it with a 1080p in 2-3 years and move the current one upstairs to replace the CRT in there.
3. Probably around 40"

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

1. No HDTV yet.

2. No plans, but that would change if I got a large cash windfall.

3. 42" minimum. (More then likely I will get a projector)

I have a 34 inch CRT widescreen 1080i HDTV ...

I bought it because it was the largest TV I could get at the price I was looking to pay ($500) that supported 480p; it is not a particularly good HDTV but it displays 480p and 1080i signals better than most LCD or Plasma TVs. I don't really consider myself as having adopted HDTV mainly because I have very little content that is displayed at HDTV resolutions; I expect to 'really' move towards HDTV in about 4 years when organic crystal LCD TVs, Blu-Ray/HD-DVD players are far less expensive (and their movies are inexpensive and readily available), and all local TV is broadcast in HDTV.

1. Nope

2. I'll probably get a HDTV within a year

3. I want at least a 40in

I have one at home (that my parents bought) and we have 3 down in Austin where I live with my roomates. Yes, 3. 2 are 1080i max (52" and 32") and the other is a 720p (40").

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.  hook up a console to each of them and play online, no need for hedsets just yell out the insults.

I won't buy one until TV signals are in HD (later than 2010 in Europe). Then, I'll see what I get.

1. Nope
2. Nope
3. At least 40"

If I can get a Sony 40" 1080P HDTV for around 1000, I'd buy one.
