True ,these numbers are to be taken with a pinch of salt.There may be adjustements down the way.

 

False ,theres a company that tracks video games sales for all the european countries.Its GFK ,the one that bought recently GameCharts(look at the logo of the GameCharts page).But they doesnt release official numbers ,only to their subscribers.They do give Top 10 for software for each week ,though.We get the hardware numbers from leakings of the GFK subscribers,but only from time to time.

As for the numbers we will have to see....but if these are true this is further proof that the 360 cant win the region in any circumstance.They cant hurt the PS3 sales at all and their sales plateau is lower that the PS3 no matter what they do.Once the PS3 gets to 250 or even 299 it will sell a lot more and the 360 cant lower its price much more without seeming firesales and the retailers abandoning it because they dont make profit at all.

Very probable.  But without the competition, I don't think neither the 360 and PS3 would have the current offerings they have now.

Without it's high price tag, the PS3 would have sold a lot better. It had nothing to do with the 360.

If the X360 was not in the market a lot of HD games would not have been made probably a huge shift of devs to the Wii aswell. For a PS3 and a X360 gamer you may be happy that they are both on the market.
