I don't want to bum you out about one of your favorite songs but Aretha Franklin doesn't sing I Will Survive, it's sung by Gloria Gaynor.

@TruckOSaurus
All i can say in my defense is that I had an mp3 file where the song was accredited to Franklin.
I stand corrected, and the post will be edited post-haste

Superstar - Carpenters
Happiness is a Warm Gun - The Beatles
Hang on to you Ego - Beach Boys

That's six. Oh well.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Nobunaga's Ambition: Introduction, Defeated Army, The Morning Bell (Yoko Kanno)
Sim City: Village (Motoyo Oka)
Albert Odyssey: Theme (Naoki Kodaka)
Wizardry V: Opening Theme (Kentarō Haneda)
Seiken Densetsu 3: Meridian Child (Hiroki Kikuta)

All from the Orchestral Game Concert series (I`ve been listening to the whole series all week)

@OP: Dvorak's From The New World is great but it's a symphony, not an opera. And your list is not weird at all.
