Well Sony can't do this at present. All of the newer 40GB and 80GB PS3's lack PS2 Backward Compatibility. They'd have to find a solution to PS2 GPU emulation issue.

They just need to add software emulation.. that way it would work.. although it would only work on titles they specifically made it work with. That's the difference between the old combatibility and the new (if it comes.. which i believe it will.. sometime)
