WAIT, Square THEMSELVES made "real fighting game" asides from Ehrgeiz? WTF?!!

No seriously, thats news to me never could thought Square could do such a thing...

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Nice. It's not a big deal, but I like the news. I really liked Battle Arena Toshinden. Fo Fai and Sophia were my fighters of choice. Ha ha, this is cool. I wondered what ever happened to this game, I was hoping to see another one.  Though, I only ever played the first one.

I got the first one free with my Ps1 in 1996. I bought Res. Evil & Tomb Raider that day too. After about a month, I bit the disc. Just couldn't stand how bland an unresponsive the game was. The game got a F'n 98/100 in PSX Magazine. I couldn't deal with the disappointment.

HA! thats awesome, lol. I just remember when I got my Sega Saturn, I was so tempted to get a PS1 for that game. Then I remember being geeked when it came to the Saturn. ...Damn I feel old. =(

I think it is argueable.  Many think Tobal 2 was the best PS fighting game, of course it never left Japan.

I thought Tekken 2 was ok.  I own Tekken 3 and it is better, but still not super amazing.  I never play Soul Edge.

Of course, and they still do.  Square makes the best fighting games IMHO.  Although, I really like Capcom and Nintendo fighting games too.
