i will need a bigger shovel o.0

@Soriku
I was having a happy day until I read this thread :P.

1-Nobody is going to milk kh.
2-If disney owns kh 100 % then why haven't they done other kh games without square rather than just one and it was for a mobile phone.
3-I'll pray to god and hope that kh3 doesn't go multiplatform to all consoles that would mean a ps2 version as well that would decrease the quality of the game.
4-You act like if you were the owner of disney "Disney aren't going to skip that chance." Dont act like you are speaking for them.Maybe they want to expand their audiece on the 360 and ps3 since they are supporting the wii so "much" then they might also want to expand where their lacking that would be the HD consoles.
5-Have your copies of Baten Kaitos and Skies of Arcadia arrived?

Haha, for the most part no. A big part of KH's buyers are casuals - the Wii has both casuals and core. If they want to expand the HD consoles are not the way to go. The Wii is the only way to go for expansion, especially for a series like KH. Disney aren't going to skip that chance.

what are you basing this on? Just because it has Disney characters in it? Was there some Poll I wasn't aware of, or maybe a fan response letter mailed to each person that bought the game?

I'm a "hardcore" gamer that loves RPGS and finds nostalgic pleasure in playing a game with Disney characters in it. However, Disney was a bonus, not a key selling point. The fact it was an SE RPG was the selling point. I'm willing to be there are more people out there like me that bought it then there are people who bought it because it seemed like a good ol "casual" fun

I'm going to pipe up to say that Disney was the main reason I bought both Kingdom Hearts games.

Disney was also the best part of both games.

God I hate Organization XIII with a blinding fury

Disney just made this:

And it is a great game so can't really say they are only here to get some easy money. (But they maybe will after watching how bad Pure sold).

If Disney didn't made pure and only published then forgot what I said and let me blame Soriku for his awesomeness.

The fun thing is when Square Enix announced that they would make a game with Disney Characters whole the internet went on a rampage......DISNEY CHARACTERS? SQUARE ENIX IS DEAD!, THEY WANT TO MAKE CHEAP MONEY! Etc...

That lasted until the majority found out that Cloud, Sephiroth and other FF characters were in it aswell and especially after they saw the first trailer. And Soriku what is the big deal anyway now with KH3?

You laughed today because Kojima will annouce next year a game that probably will release in 2010-2012. If SE announces next year KH3 you may be sure about it that you will not play it before 2010-2012 why you don't laugh with that?

Eh...let's not get into this huge argument.

Dude it's Disney...don't tell me you don't expect casuals to buy into a Disney game? I'm NOT saying core gamers don't buy it because that would be the most stupid statement I've ever said ever, but casuals are still a part of KH's sales. Not to mention it's a mainstream franchise. Saying KH isn't bought by casuals is like saying FF isn't bought by casuals which is a huge WRONG. A lot of people buy things just because it's popular you know ;3

IDK about some letter/poll thing. I don't think that happened. I've never even heard about that.

Listen, I'm not saying core gamers don't matter to KH because like I said before that would be a stupid statement, but the HD consoles are filled with people who care about their HD graphics and surround system and such - not the people you'd expect to buy KH. Not saying some people wouldn't buy into it because they originally like it because that's wrong, but taking away a big part of the fanbase which HD consoles barely have (casuals) would cut sales a lot. It would sell less on the HD consoles because of that + a big budget would make you decrease your fanbase and expenses, not expand which is what they want to do, and many other companies want to as well (look at this thread).

I'm not trying to start an argument either, although I wouldn't have time even if I wanted to since I'm in a coffee shop at my University and i got class in 15 minutes.

My problem with what you said isn't that casuals do/do not buy KH, it's just that the way you phrase it sounds like Casuals make up the majority of people that buy the game. It may in fact be true, but it's a pretty strong statement to make with little concrete evidence.

I agree with everything else you've said and without a doubt the game would sell the most on the Wii. (although a PS3/360 Multi release would produce similar sales but less Net profit bcause of Dev costs) So to bring the casual aspect into sales I don't think is even needed and only causes problems rather then leading to a conclusion. Now if you said something like "a lot of parents who've never heard of KH will buy their kids the game just because it has Mickey on the front" I would agree, even though that is still speculative. But based on the fact that even the worst crap Disney produces still sells like hotcakes (Disney Princess Movies I'm looking at you), that statement I just made is quite possible and believeable.

Now as tri-console owner who can buy it wherever it goes, I would prefer PS3, but if it does end up on the Wii (or the 360) then just as well, as long as it is made before 2015.

My remark about the Poll was a joke btw.

I'm actually surprised it's taken till now for them to do it.. they coulda milked all their franchises..

I predict the future... number of mickey mouse games will eventually equal the number of Mario games. >;D

I'm not hyped for a KH3 release ;) I just like putting people in their place.

Who are you?  Ok I am going to report you because you hacked Soriku's account.
