Forums - Gaming - What do you remember from last gen consoles?

I guess I should also include:

GB: In Harvest Moon, what does it mean when the cow is METED? When it happens, which it always does, i get no more milk. Medicine doesn't help, getting it to give birth doesn't help. What does it mean?

Actually, the thing I remember most is playing Links Awakening a long time ago at one of my friends house. That forest at the beginning is really hard to find out when you are in the 4th grade.

GBA: Advance wars was awesome.

SNES: playing Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart and seeing my father and mother playing like it had motion controls and moving the control to right would make Mario run faster and jump.

N64: playing Mario Kart 64 and seeing my father play it like it had motion controls.

Actually, no, the N64 to was every friend of mine having Goldeneye and trying to beat Control.

PSX: Liverpool (Owen) vs. Real Madrid (Roberto Carlos) against my brother in WE2002 (yes, 2002)

GC: playing Mario Kart Double Dash!! and seeing my father play it like it had motion controls. I still play it and I'm constantly getting new games, so to me it's still "current gen" :P

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Some of my friends do the same thing with Need for Speed: Most Wanted.  The funny thing is, when I got them to play Need for Speed Carbon on the Wii, which does have motion control, they turn the controller way too far when they are not turning fast enough.  This causes them not to turn at all.

Nes: Nintendo Power, Blowing cartridges, and two player co-op! trading games with friends. Contra, Castlevania III, and the Power Pad. Good memories with the whole family!

Gameboy: Accesories! Magnifying glasses, external lights, speakers, and head to head Tetris! Buying my own games.

SNES: "Suddenly, the sky is a little blue-er", Mode 7, Mario Kart Battle mode all night long! Chrono Trigger and Super Metroid. Donkey Kong Country and Street Fighter II. Class act, all the way.

Gameboy Advance: Nostalgia....Super Mario remakes, Metroid Fusion, Zero Mission

Genesis: Cheat codes requiring you to put in game A, take out the cartridge, and insert game B. Sonic 2 and Streets of Rage! A headphone jack? Awesome!

Playstation: Late nights with Res. Evil & Silent Hill. Sled Storm's soundtrack in my CD player. "As Heaven is Wide" from Gran Turismo's soundtrack. Metal Gear Solid (!), owning 5-6 memory cards

N64: Mario 64.....Wow! Analog controls. 4 player StarFox 64, who gets the Rumble Pack? Wow, Wave Race was pretty! Waiting for new games......

Dreamcast: Soul Calibur and DOA2 -Beautiful Games. VMU games. Grandia II. $9 games! Finally loving Sega.

Playstation 2: No good games until NBA Street, Disc Read Error, GTA! Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2 (Awesome) but MGS3 is the best game ever!

Gamecube: Metroid Prime, Beyond Good and Evil, RE-Make, Eternal Darkness. I forgot to turn off my Wavebird!
