Forums - Nintendo - Is anybody else having problems with bad losers on Mario Strikers Charged?

Jeez, I had no idea there were so many tools out there. If a feature of a game is abused and exploited by so many people that it becomes virtually unplayable then that's pretty sad.

Maybe I should be happy with 90% problem free Strikers!

I haven't seen much of it, but that's because I usually get owned :P Need to train up more - slowly getting better.

Some of the game exploits do annoy the f*ck out of me though. Toad jumping the keeper, Daisy teleporting into the goal (WTF?)... Shy Bones doing the same. And I can't believe how nasty Waluigi's special is if you can actually use him properly (which I can't).

I also can't believe the MegaStrike part of the game doesn't have better LAG management. No reason why it can't be completely run on the local machine (i.e. no lag) - but it isn't. A few times, I have been hit by lag when defending a megastrike - and its completely impossible to block any of the balls. Nothing sucks ar@e more.

...

Nintendo simply have coded it, such that if someone falls out - the remaining person is credited with a win/points.

...

From my memory of online gaming, this is completely typical behaviour. It sort of reminds me why I don't like to play competitive games online

There are multiple characters who can jump through/over the keeper but once you know who they are you just need to take them out before they get close enough. Once you do that your opponent will struggle as almost all of those characters have weak shots.

I think N do credit the other player if one switches their Wii off mid-game but not if they switch their router off(think that's how it works), maybe it's impossible to detect whether it's deliberate or who done it?

Keep at it, as I say don't write the game off til you're winning at least at the same ratio as losing.

Online gaming is about 70% asshats, 30% fair gamers. With the proliferation of gaming communities being set up by fans, there's a lot of little 'loopholes' that people will stumble across and post for others to look at who have no problem using those exploits to win or put things more on their advantage, so it doesn't surprise me that it happens here too. In fact, I'd of been shocked if it wasn't happening there. There have been things like aimbots on FPSes for forever, I've watched people in World of Warcraft shut themselves 'linedead' so it looks like their characters move in a certain direction and actually aren't, I've watched people on console games find bugs in level designs to shoot through portions of a wall. Crap happens.

Once, in my Quake days, I saw some retard typing wrong aimbot commands which showed up as talk messages for everyone to see. It's priceless when something like that happens... After a minute he got out of the server by himself, everyone was mocking him.

Rage quitters are an unfortunate side effect of online playing if no penalty system is set in motion.
I've experienced it so many times in Guild Wars where someone will get mad when they keep dying because they suck and blame the rest of the team. Or when someone is trying to get a survivor title and quit out before they chance dying.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

Yeah if there is some sort of win/lose records kept online, they need to factor in disconnects... I hate the internet, haha.

This is a problem i have frequently as losers cant take the pressure and reset the machine...infact me and a mate have created a mii called resets suk and it seemed to work for the most part as we dont get as much bullshit..Take it like a man or piss off the boards is our motto ;) as for the game itself its a must buy for online multiplayer alone...extremely fun and fast with good looks and presentation...infact its one of my favourite wii games so far...in other words mario strikers charged rules!!
