I wonder if you would raise this argument if the PS3 had more 90+ reviews. Call me cynical, but I imagine the answer to that would be 'no'. This thread just smacks of desperation from someone with an unhealthy loyalty for Sony.

your funny. I owned a xbox last gen. and before that a N64. loyalty to sony? please

I don't care what you owned previously.  It's obvious from the way you post now (I'm not just talking about this thread) that you are a Sony fanboy.

And its obvious from your posts you are a 360 fanboy and you will try and find any way to try to discredit someone who doesnt share your loyalty to MS (even when they make a valid point)

You're quite wrong, again.  I have a 360 because I have a preference for the games and experiences that it offers, but I can still recognise that it has deficiencies and that other platforms have their positives.

If you check my recent posts you'll see that I recently praised Shushei Yoshida and criticised Aaron Greenberg for their comments:

Not the sort of post you would expect from a fanboy, is it?

Edit: By the way, I don't need to find a way to discredit your comments.  You manage to do that all by yourself.

This is what we've come to, that when a thread doesn't descend into fanboyism, it descends into accusations of fanboyism:(

Personally, I was interested by the point that the OP made. Do I think it's hugely significant? No, but then nothing we do on a site like this is that significant. Just interesting. But it's really starting to aggravate me the way every point that gets made, by anyone, that favours one console over another, no matter how slightly, or how valid the point, gets shouted down as fanboyism. That kind of off-hand dismissal is as blind, and as stupid, as fanboyism itself.

Games machines owned: C64*, NES, SNES*, PS1, PS2*, PS3* (*still own).

What we have on this site are a few individuals that give blind loyalty to one particular format and are willing to repeatedly and exclusively employ either illogical or obscure arguments to that end.  Check out LOL MATURE's posting on this thread for a case in point:

I believe in giving praise when it's due but, by the same token, I also feel it's equally appropriate to criticise when deserved; especially when a particularly pedantic or obscure argument is being made without some humour being employed to at least make it more palatable.
