Talonman, in all his great db programming glory, has updated the prediction league for us. This is only the first round of updates just to get the league rolling smoothly again.

1) I can now cancel any game that didn't chart correctly OR relink it to the correct game. If it is canceled, then you will get your money back, and it will not count against you for accuracy.

2) I can now force the payouts, so we shouldn't be waiting months. I'll be pushing payouts shortly after the following weeks numbers come in. Currently only 2 more rounds need to be payed out, but we haven't yet because they have cancelled games. We want to double check and make sure the canceling worked so these will be payed out shortly.

3) I can now edit each entry. So if you make a mistake, I can fix it, but you have to let me know early enough so I can change it. I have to have made the changes within 24hr of the round closing. So let me know imdediatly or I may not see your PM in time. (to clarify, I can't cheat other than editing my own numbers 1 day after everyone else gets to put theirs in, but I promise I won't)

4) I can now ban/warn people for abusing the prediction league. This will only get used if you intentially try to offset the average so a alt account can rake in $ from getting closer to the real numbers than the average.

5) Rounds can now be canceled completely. This feature was used for the Japan Oct 25th 08 round, which was a mistake on my part. This will probably never be used after the first few hours of round creation unless something really major pops up.

So now no one has any excuses for why they don't enter the prediction league. So rather than starting a thread, you can put your numbers in there, and put some virtual money (good for virtual hookers and booze) where your keyboard is, or something like that.
