Just how much is Nintendo going to increase Wii, DS shipments to North America?

An excerpt from a CNN Money blog…

The company will increase its Wii shipment by 50% from the same period a year ago for the retail quarter. Nintendo will also bump up shipments of the DS, its popular handheld, by 10%, says Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.

Nintendo is going to increase the shipment in about 50%... they are obvisouly sending less Wii's to stores in the past weeks.

I think Reggie's only talking about the US. Maybe they're dedicating the entire November boost to the NA market; that should work out to roughly the proportions Reggie is mentioning.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters.
