So Saints Row 2 is coming out in less then one week and it will be interesting to see how the game will stack up sales wise.
The first game released exclusively on Xbox 360 in late August 2006 in the US and early September 2006 in Europe.
Saints Row was a fairly solid game and was the first next-gen free-roaming game.
Altough the game was fairly buggy, the graphics and gameplay were very attractive and personally, Saints Row was the first game I played non-stop on my Xbox 360. My total play time with Saints Row is probably around 120+ hours.

So the second game is coming out two years after the first game, and is now also releasing on PlayStation 3 next to Xbox 360. The second game is compareble to the first game though it features a much large city and the addition of bikes and planes. It should be a very good experience and a blast to play just like the first game.

I'm just wondering what you guys think how the game will sell on the market right now.
Saints Row sold 1.94 million copies on Xbox 360, with first week sales at about 275.000.
With Grand Theft Auto IV already released and with October so crouded with releases, I'm afraid the game will flop saleswise because there's just to many good games coming out after Saints Row 2.

Saints Row 2 releases October 14 in the US and October 17 in Europe/Others.
My first week predictions (cross-platform):

360: 350.000
PS3: 150.000

Others:
360: 175.000
PS3: 100.000

I'm really hoping it does very well... I really like the game and the style. Plus you get to blow up meth labs

I hope this game scores brilliantly.
