Actually no, but one game could make me buy a console for and thats Final fantasy 7.

I bought a Pc Engine Duo for Dracula X, though it was only a few years ago,
out side of that only a REAL Shining Force could make me buy a system for 1 game and maybe just maybe a Sonic game that is actually as good as the genesis games ore Adventure, maybe

PSP- God of War: CoO and yes i regret it....$200+ for a 5 hour game....lame. should have done my homework

Wow, you must have been disappointed if you were a Final Fantasy fan and bought a PSone for 7.

When I got an N64, it was for Super Mario 64. I did buy ~25 games for the system in all, though. I've never bought a system for not-yet-released games. I always thought it was silly when people in 2006 were buying $600 PS3s for Final Fantasy 13. You can get it on the 360 too now for $200.

 

I also bought the PSone for Final Fantasy VII about half a year after the game released. It was worth it to me. Though I did end up buying a few more games for the PS1 including my favorite survival horror game Clock Tower: Ghost Head.
