Is there any confirmation of this?

There was an embargo on information till today and Kotaku has posted what was showed at the Namco Bandai conference. They don't mention anything about Tekken 6, perhaps they can't talk about it, but I suppose we'll have more info once TGS starts.

Delays are expected by Sony these days  regarding PS3 game releases. FF XIII and GT 5 will be late 2009 or early 2010.

PC and X360 games are also notorious for being constantly delayed. This generation should be known as the delayed game generation.

Anywho, on subject, I kinda thought this might be so once they announced the Bloodlines thing, chuck in a few extra characters and job done. As long as they hurry it up.

yah but the reason of the delay is sony because they make their console difficult to program for.

If I had to pick which of you "doesn't get it", it would hands down have to be you. Onyx makes a good point, and your response is "you don't get it, don't talk to me."  Oh really? I'm fairly certain your point was tantamount to sticking your fingers in your ears and saying loudly "LALALA Tekken 6 is on PS3 only, and I can't hear anything otherwise! LALALA"

if you never face challenges you never grow stronger. By making their platform different and able they proof developers for the future which will contain in the masses of multithread core cpus in the style of the cell.. ofcourse many of these wont be split in spus etc but... bla bla
